Hahlbrasif®

Hahlbrasif® is our brand for more cost-effective PA 6-based products for dry applications such as wood processing or rust removal. The filaments are homogeneously filled with abrasive particles of silicon carbide or aluminium oxide in various grain sizes (coarse to fine).

Hahlbrasif® is used in applications where very flexible and non-breaking abrasive filaments are required. For example, it is used in brushes for DIY applications with drills or in brushes used for deburring aluminium wheels.

Hahlbrasif® filaments can sometimes be produced in different colours for better identification.

The high quality of our Hahlbrasif® standard PA6-based abrasive filaments has been a benchmark for the entire brush and technical tool sector for many years, especially in dry applications.

Hahlbrasif® filaments are characterised by precise control of the diameter and uniform distribution of the abrasive grain. With a new, improved formulation and a new manufacturing process, it has been possible to increase the removal rate to an unprecedented level.

Manufactured using a new fusion technology that improves the bond between the abrasive particles and the polymer, we have been able to significantly increase the removal rate and the service life of the filament.
